Rise Up: Federal Workers Legal Defense Network

Are you a civil servant in need of legal assistance arising from your employment in the federal government? The Rise Up: Federal Workers Legal Defense Network can help.

Democracy Forward’s Civil Service Strong initiative has partnered with the AFL-CIO, We the Action, and other partners to launch the Rise Up: Federal Workers Legal Defense Network.

Rise Up is mobilizing and training thousands of lawyers to provide free legal guidance to federal workers. Rise Up will leverage the We the Action platform to match current or former federal workers in need of legal assistance with lawyers trained to answer questions and provide information to workers on their legal rights. Initial consultations are free of charge. Lawyers can provide a variety of assistance from intakes and general guidance to direct representation in appeals or legal proceedings.
